How to install the
PollenScoutTM camera on a hive

You need:

  • PollenScoutTM hive camera, with EU or UK power supply

  • PollenScoutTM bracket, with a short leg, a long leg, and an arm on a pivot point

  • cable tie

1. Check parts

2. Attach camera to bracket

  1. Slide bracket arm through slot in camera, so camera faces pivot

  2. Secure end of arm with cable tie

3. Attach bracket to hive

Put bracket over top of hive box, with camera pointing towards the entrance.

  • Short leg of bracket at front of hive, next to hive entrance

  • Camera left of hive entrance at 55 degrees

4. Plug camera into power

Camera will automatically connect to your wireless LAN

5. Check LED

  • Solid ON at start = powering up

  • Fast blink = software updating

  • Blink every 10 seconds = good

  • 3 seconds ON, 2 seconds OFF, repeated = no wireless LAN connection

  • Solid ON after start-up or no LED at all = device has a fault, please contact us
